The Touring Edition Catback is for drivers who like their BOXER rumble to be deep, hearty, and full of crackles all without any interior drone at cruising speeds. A direct bolt-on, full 3” straight-through design with a resonated mid section and tailored mufflers in the rear, the Touring Edition acts as the sophisticated, drone-free member of the WRX exhaust suite. If you’re looking to liven up your commute while retaining civil in-cabin characteristics, this version is for you.

Thanks to the design and construction of 180 Technology® resonators, the internals will not break down and degrade over time causing tone change. Full-bodied rumble for life from the point of installation.

AWE Touring WRX Exhaust - Step-up from Stock but still Tame

First off - Subimods is great to work with. 5 stars working with them and I'm happy they're in my state so I can make local pickups of parts occasionally.

This exhaust is perfect for keeping a stock car daily drive-able. I commute ~50 miles each way to work, and drone is nearly non-existent. Sometimes when decelerating and downshifting I notice some drone in 2nd gear, but it's extremely minimal. When giving it some gas it does really wake up - especially compared to stock. To some, it can leave something to be desired. I think when I finally make the jump and replace the J-pipe this will keep a perfect balance of sounding great but not obnoxious.

Some notes:
I have a stock car, and this included everything I needed to install - no extra adapters needed.
The first thousand or so miles of "break-in" seemed louder than it does now, about 10k miles later.
Build quality seems extremely solid. No issues at all almost a year after install.
I use NEVR-DULL to polish the tips once a month or so, as they do turn black fairly quick.

Sounds great less drone

Have this connected to my Grimm speed header and cobb jesi j pipe on my 21 wrx. Sounds great . Good quality. Way less drone on highway than stock sti set up and plenty loud wot!

Nice exhaust & sound

Solid exhaust. I like the sound, not too loud but you know it’s there.

Only downside was the tips did not fit the best and small shims needed installed for installed clamp to get tight enough around the exhaust pipe.
