I purchased this system a little over a month ago, it’s already leaking, and hitting my driveshaft. I took it to Lou’s Custom Exhaust in Brockton, MA, Discount Exhaust Company in Plainville, MA, and Subaru of Natick, MA. All three companies explained that the system isn’t a well designed exhaust system. I reached out to Subimods, and they reached out to AFE, and AFE said it’s nonreturnable due to it being installed. How would I know without installing it if it’s going to leak and hit my driveshaft? Sad to say I will not be purchasing anything from AFE, you give these companies a chance and your money, and ya get screwed, live and you learn.
Hello Sean,
In some cases, the larger diameter of performance exhaust systems requires a bit of fine tuning to clear the drivetrain. To help with the clearance issues you mentioned, aFe suggested loosening and rotating the midpipe components or utilizing extended exhaust hangers to move the piping away from the driveshaft. I have also sent you an email to discuss your review further with you.
