Common questions

Shopping & availability

How do I know if an item is available to order?

The product page will show the best availability information we have at that moment. Look for an In Stock status, a Ships from Manufacturer designation, or a Notify Me button. Each one tells you something different about whether the item can be purchased and how fulfillment may work.

What does “In Stock” mean?

In Stock means the item is available to purchase and is expected to move through our standard fulfillment process. The inventory may be located at Subimods in Bloomfield, Connecticut or with one of our authorized fulfillment partners.

How accurate is the inventory shown on the website?

Inventory at the Subimods warehouse updates in real time. Partner inventory may also be live or may refresh throughout the day. We work hard to keep availability accurate, but a timing difference or simultaneous purchase can occasionally create a mismatch.

What does “Ships from Manufacturer” mean?

This designation explains the fulfillment path, not a guaranteed inventory count. The manufacturer or its distribution network will be involved, and the item may ship from them, one of their partners, or after being received by Subimods for final shipment.

Does “Ships from Manufacturer” mean the item is currently in stock?

Not necessarily. The status tells you that the manufacturer must be involved in fulfillment, but it does not confirm that inventory is currently sitting on a shelf. Availability can depend on manufacturer inventory, production, allocation, or logistics.

What does the “Notify Me” button mean?

Notify Me means we are not currently accepting orders for that product. This is usually related to inventory or supplier availability. You can sign up for an email alert if the item becomes available to purchase again.

Does signing up for a notification reserve an item?

No. A notification lets you know when purchasing becomes available again, but it does not reserve inventory or guarantee that stock will remain available. Popular items can move quickly once they return.

Why can’t I purchase a product right now?

When a product shows Notify Me instead of an Add to Cart option, Subimods has temporarily paused new orders for that item. Inventory is the most common reason, but supplier availability, product changes, or fulfillment considerations may also be involved.

Can I reserve an item before it is available?

We generally cannot reserve inventory through a notification request or hold an unavailable product outside the normal checkout process. When purchasing becomes available, completing checkout is the best way to secure the item.

Do you stock every product listed on Subimods.com?

No. We carry a broad catalog by combining inventory from our Connecticut warehouse, fulfillment partners, manufacturers, and authorized distribution networks. That lets us offer more products than we could physically keep in one building.

Can my order be fulfilled from more than one location?

Yes. Different items in the same order may be available from different warehouses, partners, or manufacturers. Using multiple fulfillment locations helps us move available products efficiently, although the order may arrive in separate shipments.

Why do products have different fulfillment timelines?

A product’s timeline depends on where it is available and who must be involved in fulfillment. An item in our warehouse may move differently than one coming from a partner or manufacturer. The status on the product page helps set the expectation before checkout.

What happens if inventory changes after I place my order?

Although it is uncommon, availability can change between checkout and final fulfillment. If an item becomes unavailable, our team will contact you and work through the available options rather than leave you guessing.

How will I receive updates if an item is taking longer than expected?

We use the email address on your order for important availability and fulfillment updates. Keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder, and contact us if an estimated date has passed without a new update. We will check the order and share the best information available.

Can Subimods order a product that is not currently available?

Sometimes there may be another path through a manufacturer or supplier, but availability varies by product and brand. Contact our team with the product link or part number and we will confirm what options, if any, are currently available.

How do I confirm that a product fits my vehicle?

Start with the vehicle-fitment information and product details shown on the product page. Because vehicle configurations and existing modifications can affect compatibility, contact us before ordering if anything is unclear. It is much easier to confirm fitment before installation begins.

Can I ask about availability or fitment before placing my order?

Absolutely. Send our support team the product link or part number, along with your vehicle year, make, model, trim, and any relevant modifications. We will review the information available and help you make the most informed purchase possible.
