Common questions
We offer several ways to pay so you can choose what works best for your order. Available options include major credit cards accepted through Shopify, PayPal, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, Shop Pay Installments, Affirm, and Katapult. The payment methods available to you will be shown during checkout.
Subimods accepts the major credit cards supported through Shopify Payments. The card options available for your order will appear at checkout, and your payment must be approved before the order can be completed.
Not between traditional payment methods. Checkout cannot divide the remaining balance between two credit cards, PayPal and a card, or two separate financing methods. Gift cards and store credit are different: they can reduce the order total, and you can use an available payment method for the remaining balance.
Yes. Apply the eligible gift card or store credit during checkout and it will reduce the amount due. You can then pay the remaining balance with one of the payment methods available for that order.
Payment is collected when the order is placed. Once the payment is approved, the order can enter our processing and fulfillment workflow. Financing providers may present their own payment schedule before you complete checkout.
If the payment is not approved, the order is not completed. You can review the billing details, try the payment again, or use another available method. Your bank or payment provider can usually explain why a specific payment attempt was declined.
Most orders move through checkout without an issue, but some are held so we can confirm that the payment and order details are legitimate. A review can be triggered by address differences, unusual payment activity, repeated attempts, higher-risk order patterns, or other fraud-prevention signals. We will contact you if we need anything.
Payment review may consider billing and shipping information, address-verification results, payment attempts, device and location signals, order value, account activity, and other indicators provided through Shopify and the payment processor. The goal is to protect both the customer and Subimods from unauthorized transactions.
No. You can ship an order to an address that is different from the billing address. A mismatch can sometimes cause the order to be reviewed, especially when combined with other payment or fraud-prevention signals, but it does not automatically mean the order will be declined.
Reply as soon as possible and provide the information requested. We may need to confirm order details, identity, billing information, or authorization before fulfillment can continue. The faster we can complete the review, the sooner the order can return to the normal processing queue.
If Shop Pay Installments is available and you are approved, the payment schedule and terms will be shown before you complete checkout. Approval, available plans, and payment obligations are determined by the financing provider rather than Subimods.
Affirm and Katapult may be available at checkout depending on the order, customer, and location. Each provider determines approval, available terms, payment amounts, and eligibility. You will be able to review the offered details before agreeing to the purchase.
No. Seeing a financing option means you may apply, but approval and the terms offered are based on the provider’s review. Subimods does not control approval decisions, credit limits, payment schedules, or financing rates.
Some financing providers are limited to customers or billing addresses within the United States. The checkout will display the options available for your location. If a provider is not shown, it is not available for that order or destination.
Subimods collects sales tax in applicable U.S. states as required. The amount is calculated during checkout based on the order, taxable products, and delivery location. The final tax amount will be shown before you submit the order.
No. Only one discount code can be applied to an order. Choose the eligible offer that provides the best value before completing checkout. Gift cards and store credit are payment value, not additional discount codes.
Some products cannot be sold or shipped to certain states because of emissions, safety, or other legal restrictions. California restrictions related to CARB regulations are a common example. This is separate from the payment method itself, and checkout may block the product based on the delivery address.
