You're right, we battled with this internally as well but at the end of the day we felt that while the E-RA concept isn't powered by a Boxer engine the heart of the overall concept, the inherent foundation of the performance division at Subaru would not be possible without the Boxer engine so we felt it necessary to include the E-RA in this list so that it was abundantly clear that the iconic Boxer engine paved the way for the capabilities on display today.
